The people behind the phone
Adria Technologies Limited is a software company in the UK. Linesteward is its AI phone receptionist for small businesses: it answers calls day and night, books appointments and jobs, takes messages and texts them to you, and puts urgent calls through to a person.
You sign up, set it up and test it yourself, then pay by card through Stripe. There is no sales call and no contract. You can read every call in your dashboard.
Our company website is adriatechnology.com.
It always says it is an AI
Callers have a right to know when they talk to an AI (EU AI Act, Article 50). We built that in, and you can't switch it off.
“Hi, Pennick Plumbing reception, Alex speaking, the AI assistant. How can I help?”
Every call opens with it
The greeting says it is the AI assistant, in the language your line is set to. Callers are told the call is transcribed in your privacy notice, and it says so if asked.
It answers honestly
If a caller asks whether it is a person, it says it is an automated assistant, and offers to put them through when it can.
Urgent calls reach you
It texts urgent messages to your mobile straight away, and while you're open it can put the caller through to your phone.
It never makes sales calls
It answers calls to your business. Texts go only to you, or to a caller about their own booking or request. We never make marketing calls or send marketing texts.
Your callers' details belong to you
You are the controller: you decide why caller data is used. We are your processor: we use it only to run the service for you, as our Data Processing Agreement says.
We only act on your instructions
The DPA is part of our terms. It covers what we may do with the data, our duty of confidence, and your callers' rights. Read the DPA.
Our database is in Frankfurt
Our database, with your calls and transcripts, is in Frankfurt. The services we use are listed in the DPA. Some of them, such as our phone network and speech services, are in the US; the DPA names the legal safeguard for each one.
Kept only as long as you set
We don't store the call audio. Transcripts, summaries and caller numbers are kept from 7 days to 2 years (default 90 days). Messages and past bookings are kept from 30 days to 6 years (default 1 year). A job deletes them every night once the time has passed.
We help you answer requests
You can read every call, message and booking in your dashboard. On your request we erase one caller's data for your business.
We tell you quickly
If a data breach affects your data, we tell you without undue delay, and we aim to do so within 48 hours, with what you need to report it to the ICO.
Deleted after you leave
When the service ends we delete your callers' personal data, at the latest 30 days later, unless the law says we must keep it. You can copy it from your dashboard first.
Security basics, built in
What the service does today. This is a plain list, not a certificate.
Encrypted connections
Data is sent over encrypted connections (TLS): the website, the app and the links between our services.
No passwords to steal
You sign in with a 8-digit code we email you, which lasts 10 minutes and locks after 5 wrong tries. We keep only a keyed fingerprint of each code, and your browser holds only a secure session cookie.
Every request checked
Before every read or write, the server checks that you belong to that business. Browsers never get a database key.
Your connections, encrypted
Keys and links for the booking systems you connect are stored encrypted, with a key only our server holds.
Signed messages only
Messages from our phone network and from Stripe are checked for their signature before we act on them.
Card details stay with Stripe
Stripe holds your card details. We never see or store them.
API keys you control
Only an owner or admin can make an API key. It reaches only your account, within the scopes you choose, and you can revoke it at any time. We keep only a fingerprint of it.
Limits on public tools
Sign-in, the help chat and the website scan are limited per visitor, so they can't be used to flood anyone.
