AI receptionistHi, you've reached Quillfield Hair Studio. I'm Alex, an AI assistant, and this call is transcribed. How can I help?
CallerHi. I'd like to book a cut and blow-dry for Saturday, if you've got anything.
AI receptionistOf course. A cut and blow-dry takes an hour and costs £48. On Saturday I have 10:15 in the morning, or 2:30 in the afternoon.
Caller10:15 would be great. Oh, and how much is a full head of colour?
AI receptionistFull head colour starts at £75 and takes about two hours. New colour clients need a free patch test 48 hours before. Shall I add it, or just the cut for now?
CallerJust the cut for now, thanks.
AI receptionistNo problem. Can I take your name, please?
CallerHannah Wood.
AI receptionistThanks, Hannah. So that's a cut and blow-dry on Saturday at 10:15, for Hannah Wood. Is that right?
CallerYes, that's right.
AI receptionistYou're booked. Your reference is B, six, N, two, X, F. I'll text you a confirmation now.
CallerPerfect, thank you.
AI receptionistYou're welcome. If you need to change it, just call us back from this number. Have a lovely day.

Bookings and your diary

Books into its built-in diary, or into Acuity, SimplyBook.me, Calendly (paid Calendly plan) or Cal.com (new: make a test booking before you go live). The built-in diary takes one booking at a time, so if several stylists work at once, connect your booking app.

Careful with your callers

It never gives advice on allergies, skin reactions or patch test results. It takes the question as a message for you to answer. Your clients' details stay yours: we handle calls, transcripts and phone numbers for you under UK GDPR, as your processor.

FAQ

Questions from hair salons and barbers

Does it work with my salon booking app?

It books into its built-in diary, or into Acuity, SimplyBook.me, Calendly or Cal.com. Calendly needs a paid Calendly plan, and these connections are new, so make a test booking before you go live. It does not connect to other salon apps yet. Running two diaries side by side can cause double bookings, so if yours isn't listed, have it take booking requests as messages for you to confirm.

Will it get my prices right?

It answers from what's on your website: services, prices, how long things take and opening hours. If your website is out of date, its answers will be too, so check your prices are current before you go live.

Does it answer after we close?

Yes, day and night. It books into free times, answers questions from your website and takes messages, which are texted to you. If a client would rather talk to you, it takes their number so you can call back.

Can I keep my salon's number?

Yes. Forward calls from your own number, which costs nothing from us (your phone provider may charge for forwarding), or get a new local number for £4.99 a month. We email you when a new number is ready.

Can I hear it before I pay?

Yes. Paste your salon's website and talk to it in your browser for 3 free minutes before you choose a plan. Plans are monthly, with no contract and no set-up fee.
